Thu, 10 May 2007 10:54:08 +0000 dhibell General Wii News With Wii stock arriving at retailers on the high street and on the internet in dribs and drabs a lot of people are still finding it difficult to get their hands on a Wii..

And at it is now 5-6 months after the launch date in the UK and Europe…

Good news for Nintendo, as it show demand is still high, but bad news for consumers who are still desperately tryng to find a Wii without paying over the odds…

It seems that the one place where Wii’s can be found on a regular basis is the german version of Amazon.

I have previously wrote a post here, which describes exactly how to do this from at a cheaper price than you’ll pay from any UK based retailer.  The feedback on the comments has been very good, and it seems that there are no problems at all with using a german machine..

Wii Availability - How to order a Wii Console now!! Tue, 20 Feb 2007 18:07:30 +0000 dhibell General Wii News In one of my previous posts a chap has left a comment that you can order a Wii immediately from

I’ve checked this out; it is possible and not difficult at all!!!

To do this click on the Nintendo Wii link on the right sidebar of this blog (click the “Nintendo Wii Konsole Sports Bun…” highlighted in blue specifically) or click here.  This will open a new window on the correct page and the order screen.

If you don’t speak german very well (like me!!), open up google translator in another window, to do that click here.

Now procede with the order: click “In Den Einkaufswagen” which will put a Wii console in your basket then click “Zur Kassen Gehen” which are both yellow buttons on the right hand side, any german language you don’t understand simply cut and paste into the google translate page.

You can even log in with your email address and password so all your details will already be there.

Once the Wii arrives, it has english instructions, it is a PAL machine (like the UK), and just set the Wii console into the English language!!

All you will need to buy is a plug adaptor to convert the 2-pin german plug to the UK’s 3-pin plug, these can be bought cheaply at B&Q, Homebase or any other hardware store!!

This method is also cheaper than buying in the UK as it will set you back 249.95 Euros, which is approx £168…  Bonzer!! :)

For the record I now personally have for my Wii:

  • Zelda - awesome, best launch game ever!!!  Everyone must own this game if you have a Wii!!!
  • Need for Speed Carbon  -not played it a lot, but wasn’t very impressed, but the steering wheel attachment is a nice touch
  • Wii Play - great fun, fantastic in multiplayer, and cow racing is just the most hilarious game ever
  • Rayman Raving Rabbids - like Wii play, its great fun, I’ve unlocked all the multiplayer games now so after a few beers with my mates it is great fun!!  :)
  • 4 controllers, and 4 nunchuks!!!  4 player tennis!!!  :) , and 4 player Rayman!!!  :)

I’m intending on getting Super Mario Galaxy and Super Smash Brothers next!!!  Can’t wait til I can play Super Smash with 4 players!!! :)

Please leave comments to help me improve my Amazon Store and to tell me what you think the best Wii games out are!!

With no Wii’s available in the shops, and none available from online retailers…

When will the UK get another shipment of Wiis???  Who knows???  If anyone does, please leave a comment on this post to tell everyone who was not fortunate to get their hands on a Wii!!

I am lucky enough to have a Wii, although read my previous posts and the trauma’s I had with PC World!!!

  1. Wii Stockists - My gripes with PC World continue…
  2. Wii Availability - My update…

For online shoppers the retailers I’ve previously mentioned are still the best to keep interest with.

So, I would recommend a visit to

And register interest with them to be emailed when the Wii is available in the UK!!!
