Games Frenzy Wii game rental review

Rent Wii GamesBuying video games can be a expensive business.  So the ability to rent wii games online is a great way to play video games for a fraction of the usual price.

Games Frenzy have been trading online since 2003, and have a great reputation for delivering the latest Wii games at cheap prices.  From what I can see they have a choice of over 200 Wii games to rent and it is incredibly easy to do.  Games Frenzy have a total selection of over 2000 titles covering all the major video games platforms: Nintendo Wii, Sony PS3, Xbox 360, PS2, PSP & the Nintendo DS.

The rental of Wii games from Games Frenzy is really simple.  They have a 4 step system:

  1. You choose your game(s) that you want to rent.
  2. Games Frenzy post them straight to your door in a pre-paid plastic envelope.
  3. You enjoy the Wii games for as long as you want.  There are no late fees.
  4. You return the game in the supplied pre-paid plastic envelope, then choose another game.

So what’s the cost?  Well, it’s really reasonable.  The standard cost per week is £2.49 with free postage.  This is for 1 game at a time, for an increased price of £3.49 you can rent 2 games at home at the same time.  As Games Frenzy has no late fees and free postage both ways this is a pretty damn good deal.  The way I work it out is that a standard game would be £34.99 to buy, so for that same price you could rent 1 game a week for 14 weeks.  So play 14 games, or buy 1 game to play and own it.  The maths, or math as our American cousins would say, really stacks up in favour of the Wii game rental model.

There is no minimum contract as well, so you can cancel at any time.

  1. What a fab idea, thanks for the heads up. I already rent films with Easy and its the same principle.
For me the games that can sometimes be completed in a few weeks this is the cheapest option by far. Plus if you are not sure about a game and investing the £34.99, this will also be a great way to go about it.

  2. Hi Jo,

I really like the idea of renting wii games online, and the companies that I’ve been looking at have some great offers.

Games Frenzy is just the first of about 5 companies that I’ll be reviewing. Once each individual review is done I’ll then compare the prices, delivery times and attributes of each of them.

    Dan
