The Beatles Rock Band Limited Edition Band in a Box same price as Wii Console itself
The excellent Rock Band series are releasing - The Beatles: Rock Band Limited Edition Band in a Box here in the UK in 3 days time (9th September 2009). With a RRP of £179.99 this limited edition game is the same price as the Wii itself! Wow!
Is it really going to be worth just under £180? I personally don’t know, but I’m sure some Beatles fans who like the Rock Band type games, would think it is.
The blurb from the The Beatles™: Rock Band™ official site is:
The world’s leading music game meets the greatest band in history! The Beatles™: Rock Band™ gives fans what they’ve been waiting for: a chance to experience the Beatles’ legendary story from the inside. You won’t just watch and listen as the Beatles make rock history, create landmark records and conquer the world — for the first time, you’ll be part of the band.
Sounds great, but the same question keeps reverberating around my head. Is it worth the same price as the Wii console itself? This is the RRP of £179.99, but I’ve just seen that Amazon.co.uk is selling the The Beatles: Rock Band Limited Edition Band in a Box at a discounted price for pre order of £149.99, not bad at all! This is also the preorder price, not just for the Wii, but for the Xbox 360 and PS3 too.
