What is the Wii MotionPlus? Current Amazon Price
Released in June 2009 the Wii MotionPlus Accessory is added to the bottom of a Wii Remote to increase it’s sensitivity and increase the enjoyment of Wii games. The Wii MotionPlus Accessory allows it to more accurately capture complex motion. Which, according to Nintendo, the sensor in the device supplements the accelerometer and Sensor Bar capabilities of the Wii Remote to enable actions to be rendered identically on the screen in real time.

I’ll continue updating this page with any new developments, new releases and hopefully release dates for UK and USA.

Which Wii games in the future would you like to see Wii MotionPlus Compatible?

  1. I’m very impressed with the Wii Motionplus and the new accuracy of the Wii Remote.

It’s quite annoying that the new Wii Remote’s can’t be built with Motion Plus built in to them. I think that Nintendo should consider that. But, from a commercial point of view, they’ll make more money with everyone wanting to buy now, at least 1 more MotionPlus to play multiplayer sword-fighting on Wii Sports Resort!

I’ve just bought the new Tiger Woods from Amazon, and it comes with a MotionPlus accessory too!

I think the game I’m most looking forward to though will be the new Zelda, I think that will be AWESOME!

  2. Agree that Red Steel 2 should be amazing. Really looking forward to it! Just hope that I’m not disappointed.

  3. I’ve been suckered into buying 1 more wii motion plus attachment. And I’m glad I’ve not bought any more… As the only game in Wii Sports Resort that can support 4 players simultaneously is the canoeing/kayaking. Pretty poor I think!

  4. Just watched the Avatar movie trailer. It looks amazing. I wonder what the Wii version of the game will be like?

  5. I’m waiting for a Starwars Lightsaber game to be released.

Looks like Nintendo considered your suggestion: the latest Wiimotes have Motion Plus built-in.
