Wii Sports Resort: Unveiled at E3

The sequel to Wii Sports was shown at the E3 2008: Nintendo Conference Demonstration today! Nintendo Wii Sports revolutionised the gaming world, and this game is set to take it to the next level.
Wii Sports Resorts seems to be summer games themed….  It was titled as “a day at the Beach” at the E3 demonstration.

The game is being released in the UK on 24th July 2009, get your copy now by pre-ordering at the following retailers:

The games previewed at the conference were:

A Frisbee throwing game with your dog (called DiscDog), the aim seems to be to throw the disc as far as possible in combination with your dog catching the frisbee!

Wii Jet Skiing - This was demonstrated by Reggie Fils-Aime and showed the acceleration by using the Wii Remote to rev the Jet Ski!!

Wii sword fighting, this was termed “Sword Duelling” which was shown as a 2 player Star Wars-esque light-sabre battle!!

All these games utilised the new Wii remote expansion device: The Wii MotionPlus.  This device makes the Wii Remote more sensitive to the movements and will be packaged with Wii Sports Resort.  Hence the game will be first to use this new accessory and amazing use of this technology.

This game is due to be released in early 2009, so this will be the first of probably many of my blogs about this!  Hopefully you heard it all here first!
